Samedi/Saturday 20.07.2019. Cullivoe
Samedi 20 juillet 2019

The nice weather of yesterday is over, today is a
miserable day: rain and fog. Jens patched my rain pants with tape, I forgot my
"good" pants at home, this one is an old one that has stayed in the
boat for a long time. I am very elegant ... We go to the shop to make our last
purchases, we think to leave Monday and tomorrow, it's closed. We return to the
boat, have lunch, drink our coffee and, taking advantage of a lull in the rain,
we ride to the ferry port, Gutcher, 5 km. It does not really rain, but it
drizzles and visibility is short. It's pretty spooky (again). We see the ferry
coming out of the fog, almost like a ghost. There is not much to do in Gutcher,
there was a cafe before but it’s closed now. We come home and are happy to find
our comfortable and warm Maja. Blog and dinner, and we go to the second wedding
party. Andrew and Linsey have two sons who are musicians and are playing in the
orchestra tonight, Michael plays the guitar and Barry plays the violin. We find
Andrew and Linsey, they introduce us to some of their friends. A snack is
served, sandwiches, appetizers, cakes, coffee, tea and other stronger drinks.
We have already dined, but we taste these good things anyway. All the food has been prepared by the villagers. The orchestra plays
very well and people dance, but tonight it's a mix of Scottish dances and
modern dances. The atmosphere is nice, friendly and everyone has a good time.
Jens and I dance a little, and Jens makes Linsey dance. She is a little
surprised by his style, but adapts quickly, she likes to dance. At one point,
the groom and bride are carried on the shoulders of friends and kiss each other up there.
The musicians play intensely and long, they must be very tired at the end. We ride
home at 2 o'clock am, tired too. And tomorrow is the third day of partying!
